EV customization — ceramic window tint and paint protection for electric vehicles on Long Island
Advanced EV Protection

Protect Your EV. Control the Heat. Customize the Look.

Electric vehicles are designed differently—and they deserve protection designed around them.

From expansive glass roofs and large windshields to high-value paint, screens and minimalist interiors, modern EVs can be exposed to significant solar heat, UV radiation and everyday road damage.

At Tinting Motors, our EV customization solutions combine advanced window film, paint protection film, ceramic coatings and exterior customization to protect your vehicle while maintaining its clean factory appearance.

Less Solar Heat. Less Work for Your Climate System.

Your EV Uses Energy to Keep the Cabin Comfortable

When sunlight passes through your vehicle’s glass, solar energy can heat the seats, dashboard, touchscreen, trim and other interior surfaces.

Your climate-control system then has to remove that accumulated heat to bring the cabin back to your desired temperature.

Tesla specifically notes that its Cabin Overheat Protection can operate the air conditioning when cabin temperatures rise and that running the climate system while unplugged consumes battery energy.

Reduce the Heat Before It Enters

Our high-performance Nano Ceramic Plus Window Film is engineered to reject up to 98% of infrared energy, helping reduce the radiant heat entering through the glass.

It also provides high UV protection while maintaining excellent optical clarity.

Less solar heat entering the cabin → lower cabin heat load → less cooling demand.

Solar-control glazing has been studied specifically as a way to reduce vehicle thermal load. Research has also shown that solar-reducing glass can reduce air-conditioning demand under tested conditions.

Up to 98% IR Rejection

Advanced infrared heat protection.

99% UV Protection

Helps protect occupants and interior surfaces from UV exposure.

Reduced Solar Heat Gain

Helps keep the cabin more comfortable in direct sunlight.

Less HVAC Demand

A cooler cabin can require less energy to bring down to the desired temperature.

The Glass Roof Problem

Panoramic Glass Looks Incredible. Until the Summer Sun Hits It.

Tesla and many modern EV manufacturers have moved toward expansive glass roofs that make the cabin feel larger and more open.

But that also means a very large area of the vehicle is exposed directly to solar radiation.

Nano Ceramic Roof Protection

Installing high-performance ceramic film on the panoramic roof helps control infrared heat while allowing you to retain the factory glass-roof experience.

Ideal for:

  • Tesla Model 3
  • Tesla Model Y
  • Tesla Model S
  • Tesla Model X
  • Rivian R1S / R1T
  • Lucid Air / Gravity

  • BMW iX
  • Mercedes EQ models
  • Porsche Taycan
  • Hyundai IONIQ 5 / IONIQ 6
  • Kia EV9
  • Other panoramic-roof EVs

Tesla itself offers roof sunshades as a method of reducing solar exposure and recommends parking in shade or using a sunshade to reduce power consumption in hot conditions.
